Jo Anne Morgan Lutinski
Jo Anne has over 40 years' experience in professional portrait negative retouching, print retouching and photo restoration. She has been editing and restoring photos digitally since 2000 and currently serves as lead retoucher for a professional photo lab and a school photography business.
Her interest in print retouching began as a child, often taken by a photo studio window, downtown Newport News, VA, where a woman would often be visible doing artwork on photographs which Jo Anne would later come to know was print retouching.
She began studies at Thomas Nelson Community College in 1968 in the Commercial Art Program. One year later she was offered and accepted a position at Cheyne Studio, Hampton, VA as a photography studio consultant- receptionist. Jo Anne was taught portrait negative retouching by the studio owner/ photographer, Gene M. Bell, a Professional Photographers of America award-winning photographer, who learned the art of negative retouching from the original studio owner, "Happy" C.E. Cheyne. Jo Anne was primarily a portrait negative retoucher, but became proficient in print retouching and won first place awards in the Virginia Professional Photographers before/ after categories.

Jo Anne trained in digital retouching in 2010, enabling her to make the transition from retouching on a retouching machine to a computer for retouching and to execute old photo restorations.

An Adams Retouching Machine was custom fitted for Jo Anne with a 10x microscope to aid in school portrait negative retouching. Jo Anne did high volume retouching on senior portrait negatives for orders all over the state of Virginia. 1995
